Belize? ...rooots?....

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here, per chance, knew about which part of Africa the Africans present in Belize (formerly British Honduras, in Central America next to mexico/guatemala) are from? or at least, east, west, africa, etc? we're looking for some roots, trying to piece together some of my husband's scattered history as a creole man.
