The Boston Gllobe reports that Richard Chacón has become new Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick's director of policy and cabinet affairs, working directly with cabinet members to oversee his policy initiatives. Chacón, 41, had been deputy campaign manager/communications director for the Democrat's campaign after leaving the Globe, where he worked for more than a decade as reporter, editor and ombudsman.
